In Staging - Ryan Clark
Former editor of Hawkeye Racing News and former scorer and track writer at Independence (Iowa) Motor Speedway, Ryan returned in 2009 as the track announcer. Being a fan of numbers and statistics, his years of record-keeping at Independence earned him the nickname Numbersman by race fans in northeast Iowa. Midwest Racing News - Brian Neal
A former columnist for both Hawkeye Racing News and Mid-States Racing News, Brian Neal developed his love for stock car racing in 1991 while following a local driver around to several Midwest tracks. His involvement in the sport grew in the mid- to late '90s working for the late Howard Mellinger at Mid-States Racing News until the paper sold in 2001. Since then, Neal has worked at a couple of tracks in the tri-state region and he continues to share his passion for the sport with his blog, Midwest Racing News.
In The Groove - Stacy Ervin
A track official at the Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway, Stacy Ervin is a busy lady on race night at the famous half-mile oval, assisting with live results on the track's website. She has called the track her second home ever since taking in her first Nationals back in 1976 and is proud to be a part of the track's media team today. Rachel's Racing Realm - Rachel Knight
Rachel's love for racing began with stories of her dad, uncle, and cousin racing at Sportsman's Speedway in the '60s and '70s. During her college years, friends asked her to join them at L A Raceway, 12 miles west of Sedalia (Missouri), and the rest was history. She has been a dedicated fan of the 3/8-mile clay oval track where Sprints, Street Stocks, Modifieds and Hobby Stocks let the dirt fly every Friday night, also known as Rachel's Racing Realm.
